Once we figured out how we were going to target our audience, we will then need to develop the proper marketing technique. If you know that your target demographic prefers to look at charts and graphs, you could utilize a website that specializes in making those.
And in the past, the ways in which you could sell your products were very limited. You either had a storefront, you traveled around, or you had your customers come to you to get your products. Not much as really changed in that aspect, but the ways that we go about them have.

Nowadays having a storefront can mean more than just having one location. If your business has become successful enough you could have multiple sites all over the state, country, or even globally! Allowing your customers to come to you is another thing that, while still the same, is also very different. Unless your customers were willing to travel days, if not longer, then your customer base was very limited. Because of the invention of the automobile, the distance that you can cover in just an hour is huge. Our customer ranges have increased, allowing us to serve those who, in times past, would not have been able to get our products.
The same goes for us traveling. Pop-up stores have been gaining popularity over the years, and the fact that they can set up and tear down in just one day is amazing. But the biggest change we have seen in marketing is the invention of the internet and being able to sell and ship our products online. Now we can reach customers that are in an entirely separate country. This opens doors that would have seemed impossible 100 years ago.
The business world is fast changing and always looking for ways to improve upon itself. Making sure that we are staying informed on what is going on is the smartest thing we can do to make sure that we are as connected as possible is so important.
